The exhibition Kartina Mira has opened in Ekaterinburg

On October 8, 2025, the exhibition Kartina Mira opened at the International Arts Center Glavny Prospect in Ekaterinburg.
The exhibition presents the results of the First International Competition for Young Artists Kartina Mira, dedicated to the theme "The Values of My Nation as Part of the Global Human Culture."

The competition’s main goal is to create conditions for the support and advancement of young talent, allowing them to present their art on the international stage.

The exhibition at the Glavny Prospect International Arts Center follows the successful showing at the Tretyakov Gallery Branch in Kaliningrad. The exhibition features 19 works by 17 artists from Russia, Libya, the United States, Turkey, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, China, and Vietnam. These include works by winners of the first competition, as well as works by participants included in the Gazprombank collection.
Each work offers the viewer a unique interpretation of a global theme, serving as a visual bridge between tradition and modernity, between national identity and a universal cultural code. The exhibition demonstrates how art can unite different cultures, erasing linguistic and geographical boundaries.
Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler praised the competition’s scale and thematic focus: "I am delighted that Ekaterinburg has become the second city in Russia to host the Kartina Mira exhibition. Before us, only the Tretyakov Gallery Branch in Kaliningrad had hosted it. Of course, the organizers — their enthusiasm, genuine love, and passion for their work — deserve a lot of credit for this. But there’s also a logic to it. The Sverdlovsk Region straddles the Ural Mountains, straddling the border between Europe and Asia. It’s no coincidence that the Urals are said to be a meeting place, a place where something new can be born, where new images and meanings can be forged. Therefore, where better than in our region can we foster intercultural dialogue? To host an exhibition whose primary goal is to showcase the richness and diversity of national values and traditions."
The exhibition is supported by "Gazprombank" (JSC) and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "House of the Peoples of Russia."

The exhibition will run until November 8, 2025.
