"Art is a reflection of time and society. It is largely because of it that we have an understanding of our history and culture. Artists emphasise the importance of socio-cultural change and pass on experiences to future generations. Kartina Mira Competition provides an opportunity for artists to express the values of their people, to show through artistic language the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of their homeland as part of the global human culture. Our country is beautiful, multinational and very diverse. The theme of the Competition can inspire artists to create original works focusing on significant aspects of their culture. Participation in Kartina Mir art competition is an opportunity not only to express oneself as an artist, but also to become part of a meaningful cultural dialogue that highlights the values and richness of popular culture. It gives an opportunity to establish a deep connection with one’s own roots, as well as to promote ideas of mutual understanding and cooperation in a global context", — commented Polina Zinchuk, a multiple prize winner and winner of Russian Art Week competitions in different categories, a painter, a member of the Youth Creative Council of the International Competition Kartina Mira.
If you are between 18 and 35, a professional artist or just love to draw, you can still participate in the Competition in one of the above categories. Applications will be accepted here until 01 March 2025.
