At the numerous requests of the participants, the organizing committee decided to change the previously established deadlines for accepting works — now you can apply for participation until March 12. The extension of the application deadline will provide an opportunity for even more talented artists to make a name for themselves in the international competition.
The works of the winners of the Competition will be presented at an exhibition at the branch of the Tretyakov Gallery in Kaliningrad as part of the V International Festival of Classical Music "Kantata" in June 2025
This will allow young artists to declare themselves at the international level, to increase their creative and artistic potential.
"The creation of such a competition opens up new opportunities for the development of the Tretyakov Gallery and support for contemporary artists, as well as new prospects for cooperation with the contemporary art community. The Tretyakov Gallery will actively develop this direction, and currently we are considering the possibility of not only creating an exhibition of the finalists' works, but also looking for formats of cooperation with participants who will go to the second stage of the competition," said Elena Pronicheva, director of the Tretyakov Gallery.
The geography of the participants of the competition is quite wide. At the moment, 494 young artists from 39 countries have registered their works:
Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia, USA, Brazil, Belarus, Serbia, Vietnam, Uganda, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Algeria, Uzbekistan, India, Egypt, Kenya, Thailand, Tanzania, Abkhazia, Iran, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Senegal, China, Venezuela, Rwanda, Cuba, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Mali, Jordan, Ethiopia, South Africa, Argentina, Mongolia.
It will be recalled that the Creative Council will evaluate the competition works in three categories: "Painting", "Graphics" and "Digital Art, Computer Graphics and Animation". The submitted work should correspond to the theme "The values of my nation as part of the global human culture". It is important that the work should be created specifically for the KARTINA MIRA competition.
"If you were waiting for a sign, this is it. The extension of applications is another chance for those who doubted the success of their work or do not have time to put the final touches on the project in a short February. Apply for the KARTINA MIRA competition, this opportunity has appeared specifically to reveal your potential. We are very much looking forward to your projects, in which tradition and modernity intersect and become a multi-layered artistic statement. We hope that soon we will be able to see your projects in the branch of the Tretyakov Gallery in Kaliningrad," commented Ksenia Badanova, a member of the Youth Creative Council of the KARTINA MIRA competition, a member of the creative youth community of fine arts of the Tavrida Art cluster.
